To Skimp Or Splurge? What Products Are Worth The Price?

When it comes to make up and skin care, it can get confusing about what you should get. Do you splurge on the 20 dollar lipstick? Or do you skimp on the foundation? Who knows! It can get confusing. I know I am sometimes I go through the aisles and still question is it worth it? Now, I have it all figured out! I've done the research and racked up enough credit card debt for the both of us and now I'm here to give you the answers. Do you splurge or do you skimp. 

Let's start with skincare. 

Cleansers- definitely a skimp,because you rinse it right off. If you're acne prone get a acne cleanser, my favorite is the one by equate acne wash it's orange and amazing.

Treatment - Splurge. Treatments are your serums,eye creams what's actually going to fix the problem. Think anti aging, redness serums, acne treatments. These are your medicines, you want the best. The best thing about it is you get results way faster than the bargain stuff.

Moisturizer - a little splurge. If it doesn't have any treatment in it then skimp on it but if it has some treatment then splurge a little. But always make sure it has SPF.

Now for makeup.

Primers are a free for all. I think the higher end stuff is better but it's really up to you.

Foundation - splurge, but no more than 45. I say splurge because they have better matches and good finishes. You also use less, because you don't have to build up the coverage so much. However  if it's over 45 it's over priced.

Finishing powder - skimp. A powder is a powder no matter where you go.

Bronzer - skimp as long as it's not orange. You're going for bronzed not ompa.

Eyeliner - Skimp  black eyeliner ,liquid or otherwise is the same everywhere. Spend a little more on gel because the cheaper ones dry out super fast.

Mascara - skimp. As long as it works for you you're good. I've paid 30 dollars for Mascara and it still sucks.

Blush- skimp just because if you find one cheaper that you like get it.

Lip gloss -  it's lipgloss skimp.

Lipstick - skimp. I personally like the higher end products but at the same time I've found some good drugstore brands too. So I guess it goes either way, if you like more vibrant colors then you'd consider this a splurge like me :-).

Lip liner - skimp it's not a necessity also it's still the same no matter where you go.  

Eyeshadow - skimp. The cheaper ones you use more, and some of the colors don't show up right, That can also happen with higher end products as long as you have a good primer though you should be find.. 

Brushes - Skimp! Skimp! Skimp! Always! I've had brushes from walmart for years that were less than 10 dollars. So skimp, always.
