Summer and skin care kind of go hand in hand. You want your skin to glow and be perfectly flawless for all those selfies on the beach. Some people are blessed with it, some people have to work for it. If you're the lesser than join the club.
Although I myself have struggled with occasional acne but I've always had really bad dark spots, large pores, and general oiliness. Finally after years of suffering and covering up with makeup and cakey powders, I have my Top 6 favorite products for perfecting the skin and making it healthy.
First off - my Clarisonic, I love that thing. But it's not just the pulsation that I love, the brush head really makes a difference. At first I had the regular sensitive head brush that I liked, it was really good for starting off and treating my acne. Now I have the radiance brush, and I love it! It makes my cleanser (Clarisonic's deep pore cleanser) super foamy and it's a lot softer than the other bristles. Now the real question: Is it helping with my radiance? Yes and no. I have seen an over all improvement in the health of my skin it does feel softer and my skin doesn't feel dry afterwards, but I don't think it's helping with any spots. A brush can't do that, it doesn't have any treatment in it, but I know something that's amazing. Buy the full radiance kit here.
Ambi Fade Cream - I have searched far and wide for a dark spot correcting serum that does it all! Correct my dark spots and even out my skin tone without over drying my skin and doesn't take months to actually take effect. I've found that in Ambi. I started using Ambi when I was younger, think around highschool, and I saw results in about 2 weeks. Now we're here years later and I'm still getting that overall skin clarity that I love and it's happening fast! This does have 2% hydroquinone in it as does most lightening agents like Murad's Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum. What different about it is Ambi has sunscreen in it something that crucial when you're using a skin lightener. I think that little extra care with the sunscreen really makes a difference because it's less room for user error and you don't worry about if the sunscreen you have is enough for the hydroquinone. Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar - Is great because it has a glycolic acid in it, which by the way is a chemical exfoliator. Now why is that important? Because exfoliating is the secret to amazing skin! This is an easy lightweight moisturizer that can be worn underneath your makeup and not compromise it. Try it here for 44$ here
Soap and Glory Flake Away- When I tell you I love this. I literally would marry it if I could! I usually use a baking soda scrub for my skin, but that can be a bit harsh. No it's not drying but I would feel little cuts on my legs and under my arms. This is gentle and instantly effective and softens and it doubles as a moisturizer and soap although I still use soap before I exfoliate. Try it here for 24$
Coconut Oil - This has been gaining a lot of popularity lately in the beauty world and rightly so! The reason I love it is because it made my skin glow like the ocean on a sunny day. But it actually keeps my dry skin moisturized for more than few hours and insures that it stays soft. Now if only it had a spf.Try It Here for 11$
And of course SPF doesn't have to be fancy but I love the spray on by banana boat I've used it since I was little and haven't had a problem since! I love the spray because it can reach all over my back, and it spreads so much faster than cream. Try it here for 16$
