Smashbox has a hot new collaboration with the amazing illustrator Donald Robertson(@donalddrawbertson). Robertson is most known for his crazy bold pigmented painting. Combine those crazy skills with smashbox groundbreaking makeup artistry and you have a hot new line emerging for spring!
But this isn't the first time the pair have combined mines. Just last November the two collaborated for some out lip colors that flew off the shelves. And now they're back with high impact liners. The collection features 6 gel liners in remarkable shade ranges: Jet Black, Smoke (smokey grey), Sapphire(bright cobalt blue), Plum (deep purple), Lilac(bright lilac), Cocoa ( Dark Brown) . Much like the gel eyeliner from Benefit, this is a push up liner. It takes a couple of twist before actually coming out.
With it's flexible tip that combines the intensity of a gel with the fluidness of a marker it's a great way to create a bold eyeliner look. The tip lets you bend and move the brush at any angle to make the perfect bold colored cat eye.The color and the gel claims to last for 36 hours and you can create any kind of line, thick or thin with it.
I had the pleasure of getting a first hand look at them as they were just putting them out on display. The colors are amazing, the pigments are incredibly saturated and they go on very smoothly. I do feel as if the blue was a bit streaky at first but after a good shake I do love it. If you're looking to make a bold eyeliner statement I highly recommend trying this out.
Tips For Using This Product:
- It does take a while for the gel to reach the top.
- Once the liner reaches the top it'll come out in a big glob, wipe that off and with one more click you have the perfect amount.
For application:
Start from the middle of the lid then go back to the inner corner.
You can get these liners at sephora for 24$, for a similar look try out these
