I've always loved lipstick. When I was younger (and I mean younger) I would take my markers and color in my lips and pretend that it was lipstick. I would walk around with blue and orange lips, I remember the looks that's I would get. My parents would just laugh and shake their heads then beg me to take it off before it got me sick.
Now that I'm older I can get real lipstick in a full range of colors. My favorite lipstick for the moment is the NARS Audacious lipstick. Let's start by talking about the packaging. When you open and close NARS lipstick it has a magnet so it snaps shut. The color ranges are pretty neutral, which is really good when you just want a simple and easy look.
The colors I have are Olivia, Charlotte, Jane, and Jeanne what I love about this line is that they finally have perfect nude shades for dark skin tones. And that's a rare find. The neutral shades imparticular have more of a reddish/brown base to them so they can still have a little wow power to them. The other colors are mainly fall pinks and reds
The lipstick itself goes on very smoothly and has a little bit of a hydration to it. I also like it because you don't have to do multiple coats, one swipe and you're good to go. Now the best part, the finish. It seems to be more matte than the others with more of a moisturized shine to it rather than a shiny one, but the shine does go away after the lipstick settles. Also the lipstick never feathers out through out the day, I never wear it with a lip liner.
That's why I give it a 8/10 kisses. It has some really good nudes, but that's about it. The color ranges aren't that great and if you apply more than one coat it starts to feel a little waxy on the lips. It also clumps up a little on the corners of the mouth if you do more than a couple swipes. So in short don't glop it on there, one swipe. If you want to try out the new NARS Audacious Lip Stick you can get it here.
