Razor bumps are hideous. I can't even put it in a cute funny quirky way, they're just gross. Not to mention painful! I remember having a few when I had first started shaving and I hated it. I promised myself I would never get one again. There only a few that you can really do to actually relieve them, but you can do something.
Let's first figure out what razor bumps are. Razor bumps also known as ingrown hairs. Hairs that basically curls up on to itself under the skin.
You could take a clean needle and extract the hair from the bump.. That usually fixes it.
If you want to stop them from ever happening make sure you wash the area thoroughly with warm soap and water.
Use a THICK shaving cream and shave with the hair, not against it. So when it grows back it's in the same position it naturally grows. Meaning there's already a hole for it to poke it's hairy head through.
If you already have the bumps you'll have to get a cream to treat them. Hydrocortisone is a great option for curing them. If that doesn't help you may want to stop by your dermatologist for help, but usually hydrocortisone will do the trick.
If you're just prone to ingrown hair and you just can't seem to find a way out of it. Shaving may not be the best option for you. But that doesn't mean that you have to be hairy. No, no there are plenty of options to remove hair. Waxing or lotions are great for removing hair, you can get the details on those options and way more on our guide to hair removal.
Now flaunt your gorgeous gams!
Yikes! Thank goodness I never ran into this problem, but I've seen it happen to quite a few men in my day. Great tips to cure it. Hugs....
