My Top 8 Home remedies to banish Dark Circles

At some point or another you've either gotten (or think you have) dark circles under your eyes. It's a common misconception. Sometimes, and I've seen this before it's just stubborn eyeliner or Mascara. So of course make sure you're washing your face properly. If you're clean as a whistle but the darkness remains, there are some tried and true remedies, like eye creams and concealers.  However if you're not one for chemicals,  Home remedies are a great way to cure whatever ales ya without breaking the budget and keeping your skin clear of chemicals. For eyes there's a gazillion, but since you don't want to read that, and that's a whole lot of writing. I'll show you the top 8 ways the greats keep their eyes looking fresh.

A classic favorite are cucumbers. They are a full of antioxidants which help your eyes perk up. Place cucumber slices over your eyes for about 10 - 15 minutes.

Another favorite is metal spoons. If you have puffy eyes this ones for you. Get 2 metal spoons and place them in the fridge til they're cold. The place the back of the spoons on your eyes for 10 minutes.

Potatoes are the best thing for dark circles. A lot of people don't realize how good they are for you. They can even help if you have dark spots on your skin just slice a potato in half and rub it on your skin, let sit for 15 minutes then rinse . As far as your eyes goes place to slices on your eyes for about 10-15 minutes.

A next favorite is almond oil another great antioxidant packed treat for your skin. Apply a small amount over your dark circles before bed. Wash off in the morning.

Crushed mint leaves has a cooling a effect that helps take down swelling and of course helps brighten up the eye area. Crush mint leaves and apply over dark circles for 5 - 10 minutes.  Usually I'm not super stick with timing but since this is mint we're talking about do not exceed 10 minutes. It's refreshing but can be irritating.

Tea bags. A great eco-friendly way to help your eyes. Make some sweet tea then put the used tea bags in the fridge till they're cool. Place them on closed eyes for 10-15 minutes.

Frozen veggies are great for puffiness. Simply grab a bag of veggies from the freezer, wrap them up in a towel and lay them on your eyes for 10-15 minutes.

Rosewater, a home remedies post wouldn't be complete without their magic! Take a cotton ball soaked in rose water and apply over eyelids for 10 minutes. Don't rinse.

Do whatever your chosen method at least 2-3 times a week and I promise you'll start seeing a major difference!
