Oh Valentino, you never cease to amaze me. Is there anything more chic than an all white show?
Valentino Sala Bianca debuted there Haute Couture Show in the fabulous Madison Avenue formerly known as the Whitney Museum of American Art. The show was littered with A listers and fashion royalties. People oo and ahhed at the models strutting down the runway in nothing but white. The collection was heavily inspired by the British mod era in the 60's, celebrating Valentino's early 60's era designs. The full sheer white lace tops paired with floor length skirts were simply breath taking. I love the nod to the old while entering the new. It's something so comforting when an artist revisits the their past and introduces it to the new generation. Dresses of chiffon, white lace, and white plissé organza, oh valentino you have done it again. I can't wait to see how these looks transfers to the red carpet.
